First and foremost I’ve liked my name since a child even though people referred to it as an “old” name. It seemed to have fit me from back then. I’d say it had a certain majesty to it that comes with the first four letters. Lions a regal creatures that are held in high regard. In my opinion they’re the epitome of “walk softly but carry a big stick” which was spoken by Theodore Roosevelt. They don’t do too much but when they do it’s direct and absolute. The suffix “el” in Hebrew means “God” so in full my name means “Lion of God” it’s a name that dates back to the 1400’s. It’s as old as some of the days are long. I take pride in knowing my name has such a strong meaning and I gladly correct anyone that misspells or mispronounces my name.
