This space would be very quiet of course. Lots of access to natural light more so for the reading but for writing portion I’d want to be able to see the stars above me. Obviously I can’t write in total darkness but recessed lighting would be optimal. There’s something calming about the darkness that lends itself to allowing me to think clearer and broader. Kind of like my bedroom. The preference would also be for it to be sort of a loft style or detached from the house. I write best and comprehend what I’m reading better when I’m isolated. I’m somewhat nosey I’ll be listening to everything going on around me….so isolation is best. A humongous beanbag chair or two would set the room off right…I move a lot while I write and being on a couch or in a chair would make that difficult. On the couch I’d be too tempt to lay down. The walls would be white…they reflect light perfectly during the day and allow what paintings that adorn the walls to pop day and night. Paintings are certainly a must!
